Japanese persimmon...what's it all about??  Nonenal soap...what is that?? Well, to be precise the word Nonenal was first identified by a team of scientists working for Shiseido from Japan in 2001 and called it 2-nonenal. It can start as early as age 40 as a result of the decline in the function of the skin’s antioxidant barriers. It is caused when sebaceous glands produce and secrete sebum, which is a mix of fatty-based lipid acids. Omega-7 unsaturated fatty acid, chemically known as Palmitoleic acid, is a basic element of skin sebum. When Omega-7 fatty acid rises to the skin’s surface, it degrades and results in nonenal.

We have worked hard to research and find the right ingredients for this special soap, unfortunately it is a more expensive soap to make.  Therefore it is priced higher, and does not qualify for the discount when buying 5 or more soaps.

We have added organic green tea (also high in tannins), J. persimmon powder, dark orange, and lemongrass essential oils
